Who We Are
The Mountaineer Humane Society is a group of volunteers working together to enhance the lives of companion animals in Tucker County, West Virginia. Our meetings are usually held on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 at the Thomas Community Center.
Our main focus right now is offering spay and neuter vouchers to pet owners in order to decrease the unwanted pet population in the county. With a voucher, the pet owner will pay half the cost of the procedure, and the Humane Society will pay the other half.
